Is the trial really free and fully functional?
Yes. The 45-day Enterprise trial includes all features. After 45 days it automatically converts to the free Light Edition for private use. To continue using it in your organisation, you only need a license; your installation and configuration are preserved.
What is the difference between MSI and EXE downloads?
We recommend the MSI installer for most environments. It supports automated deployment via Group Policy, SCCM or Intune. The self-extracting EXE contains the same MSI file plus a small additional installer for compatibility with earlier versions. This installer was used to check whether the required .NET Framework was installed.
How do I deploy ASDM across my organisation?
For central deployment of the ASDM Client via MSI, for example using GPO or MECM/SCCM, see the step-by-step instructions in our deployment guide (Mass Deployment).
Can I verify the downloads are safe?
Yes. We recommend an independent check before installation. For example, you can check the MSI file or the self-extracting EXE with VirusTotal.
